Taking a decent Family Photo to proudly hang on the wall is on every Mum's 'To Do' list and it seems simple right..? But honestly, the rigmarole of trying a DIY approach to get a pleasant photo of the whole family INCLUDING yourself just sometimes is impossible. Leave it to me, as a Mum and a Qualified Early Childhood Teacher who understands all the funny faces, sibling squabbles, dribbly chins, and so on.. Don't worry, I can handle it. I capture these sessions in a candid way which means you can just come along and enjoy yourself naturally, and not worry about posing. Rather focus on having a fun time with one another
Newborn

1.5-2 hour In-home session, taking into consideration the nature of this session. It's slow paced, calm and relaxed to keep baby and Mum comfortable and content throughout. I provide props to create beautiful images that express your Baby's unique beauty.
Birth-Story

Birth Sessions are a lot more involved and more of an investment than your typical family shoot. It is a unique, intimate, once in a lifetime event, and therefore requires preparation and care on my behalf to ensure you receive my dedicated service.
FAQ
How many pictures will we receive?
Each package includes a Minimum of 30 individually edited images (usually more). The images are saved as high-resolution jpg files. The album is then transferred via email which provides a download link for quick and easy download and ready for print if you wish.
Weddings and Birth galleries are provided on a gorgeous wooden USB that comes in a beautifully personalised and fitted box for safe keeping.
How should we dress for our family session?
I enjoy seeing your unique style and character expressed in your chosen oufits. However sometimes the chosen outfits can distract the eye from you as the main subject which is what we want to be focussed on - (not a super textured or patterned dress or shirt). Therefore, I encourage my clients to wear colour co-ordinated outfits and preferably in natural/neutral tones such as earthy tones with minimal pattern. This type of dress code makes your images pop a lot more against the scenery of your chosen location. Always think about the location colours too, i.e. is it in a green forest? sandy beige beach? colourful gardens? etc with this in mind, you can search colour set ideas and create the best look that you're after.
What’s the best time to have a session with a newborn?
Generally, a good time for me to do a Newborn session is in the morning, When everyone is feeling fresh and Mum and Baby's temperament and energy levels are better than late in the day. I would usually arrive when you notice baby getting tired or due for a feed..
I’ll pop over and set up a space either in the nursery or in a space with good natural lighting near a big window or glass door. This lighting hugely compliments the photos.
It’s lovely to get some pics of those little moments of you giving baby a feed either breast or bottle and if we’re lucky some lovely eyes open pictures. Obviously, we will just follow along with baby’s cues, to keep it a nice calm and relaxed session.
